The Bourgeois‘ self-titled album dresses itself with the signature characteristics of punk garage, but also finds refuge in the subdued layers of slow rock.
Jack White evolved the dusty blues into something that teenagers, hipsters, selected ears, could listen and enjoy.
Countless bands, very successful and famous ones (insert The Black Keys here) and not that famous ones all over the world, were influenced by him. HolySexyBastards is one of them.
This is a Venezuela born, Canada based band and they can hit you like a 350 truck going at full speed.

Moe Shop gives a certain spin to the Future Funk world. It has a very energetic vibe, leaning towards the Future side of the genre. It almost has sounds similar to J-Pop, but those kicks and snares are still laid over funk samples that will make you dance like you’re in an animated music video.
Lawrence is an eight-piece soul powerhouse from New York City. Led by the talented sibling vocal duo Clyde Lawrence and Gracie Lawrence, produced by Grammy Award winning producer Eric Kranso, and influenced by old school and new school giants, Lawrence presents a beautiful LP of dynamic vocals, powerful horns, and soulful grooves. As their first and maybe most important album, they’ve rightfully called this releaseBreakfast. We’ve found a sampling of some of the delicious tracks on the album.
LA-based group Shoos Off injects some funk into your day with Most Times EP. The album features five tracks that oozes with musings of pop, hip hop and r&b as well as a dash of eccentricity by using a wide range of instruments with a sense of control.
Ride and curl along waves of luscious ecojam funk in Hit Vibes by Saint Pepsi aka Ryan DeRobertis. Teeming with thirteen tracks, this album will get you moving through it’s creative experimentation on fresh hip grooves.
Taking a share of the delicious musical pie is newcomer Bonnie Bordeaux (even her name sounds super gorgeous), who’s bringing her own iteration of funk by tastefully concocting it with 40’s style of jazz and soul. The result? A stunning 7-track debut masterpiece that we’ll simply refer to as The Damsel Diaries.

Melissa is a great singer. We just love her. She started signing professionally at the age of 5, began playing shows since high school – and after some considerable success moved to NYC to take on music as a full time profession. Since then she performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Saban Theater, Bitter End, and Village Underground.Feels Good is singer’s latest mixtape, carefully crafted with a help of few friends such as Eazi Money, Paulie, Quill Quasar, Vicky Victoria and Gabby Brielle. The songs are a mixture of fierce pop, hip-hop, and RnB, setting the mood right from the very beginning with sultry beats accompanied by Melissa’s gorgeous vocals luring you in.
Kellee Maize’s thoughtful & inspiring lyrics and the underling message of love are the most prominent. If you’ve listened to any of her previous releases, like ‘Owl Time‘, ‘Integration‘ or ‘Aligned Archetype‘, you know spiritualism takes a very important part of her work.‘The 5th Element’ is the slowest of all Kellee’s previous releases, with influences mainly from various types of electronic music. We even hear Kellee softer side singing as opposed to rapping in few of the tracks. Heavy southern style bass track ‘Dancing with Lightning’ opens the album just right.
Joe Marson has a beautiful voice. Armed with a guitar, beautiful melodies and a voice that’s heartfelt and mesmerizing, Joe Marson and the Satisfied Mind has created a gem of a record.
Listening to Jill Zimmerman’s music is like snuggling under a thick cozy blanket on a cold night. Her lyrics are introspective, honest and relatable; and paired with her warm guitar harmonies, they create an uplifting air of ease and tranquillity. The charming mix is often given touches of piano and harmonica, but the spotlight never wanders from Jill’s voice and her guitar.
Heavily influenced by acts such as Miriam Makeba and Tracy Chapman, Naomi Wachira fuses contemporary themes with African-inspired rhythms to carve out a catchy variety of folk that’s guaranteed to appeal to the genre’s avid listeners.
Pop music is not as simple as people think. Pop music can be complex, interesting, with incredible and deep melodies. So today, we want to share 5 alternative pop bands that you must listen to. You can listen to their music for free, and support them with donations if you like them.
Monk Turner has earned every right to be called the “galactic defender of the concept album”. With a prolific output of over 20 concept albums released in a decade, Monk has experimented with a plethora of styles and genres, collaborated with a staggering number of artists; and explored themes ranging from colours (Kaleidoscope) to a fictional portrait of L.A. in a pre-earthquake crisis (Emergency Songs). It’s hard not to be excited about his latest –God Complex.
Bursting with vibrant sonic oddness, Prisms EP by Warehouse Eyes treats us with eclectic harmonies, experimentation, and an elite musical taste.
Warehouse Eyes is a four-man band from Minneapolis consisting of Jennie Lawless (vocals, synthesizers), Christopher Williams (vocal, keys, and synthesizers), Kevin Scott (bass), and Alexander Young (drums).
Lily Wolf, the duo formed by Lily Wolfson and producer Alex Neuhausen, has achieved considerable success over the years with their work being featured on shows like The Bad Girls Club and Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Deleted Scenes is their third studio album and quite possibly their best.
Yesper is one of those rare Seattle jewels you can find for free on the internet. Every song on his album is kind of peculiar, engaging, magical. He recorded senses sensei EP in empty penthouses in a high rise apartment building under construction as his Bandcamp page suggests.
Singer/songwriter Candythief presents The Starting Gun, a six-piece collection of pop psychedelic pieces that’s bursting with sonic flavor in every play.
All in all, The Starting Gun gives a visual of what Candythief can offer to the table. The songs here feel finished, every line is cut perfectly to fit the melody, making it easy for listeners to digest the whole album.
Do you like Indie Music? Last week on FrostClick we reviewed 5 incredible Indie bands that you must listen to! Enjoy and share this post with your friends!
#Rock #Indie Futurelight from Poland are no newbies in the indie-rock scene. Their first EP, released in 2014 gained them considerable attention in online circles and was also reviewed here on FrostClick. The band now returns with their second EP, Better Place, which sees them experimenting with a tinge of electronic music in their rock.

For music lovers, finding the right track that suits your palette may be a never-ending task. At times, it may be a hit and miss, jumping from one promising song to another. In I’m Not a Pilot‘s latest release titled The Story So Far, indie pop junkies who thrives in the musicality of Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World, and Ra Ra Riot may have found a perfect match.
#Indie #Alternative #Rock
Alternative rock is in full gear with Brandy Zdan‘s self-titled album.
Even though this is just Zdan’s first album, the Canadian singer has been a mainstay in the indie rock scene for years and has made a name for herself. Now based in Nashville, TN, Zdan’s career has seen a lot of milestones. She collaborated with Twilight Hotel for two albums: High Prayer in 2008 and When the Wolves Go Blind in 2011, which was nominated in Canada’s Juno Awards. She has also toured and debuted her EP, Lone Hunter, in 2013.
#Indie #Ambient
Musical duo Jack Milas and Oli Chang have been conquering the indie scene bit by bit. The Brooklyn-based musicians have already toured with big-name bands such as the Vampire Weekend, Empire Of The Sun, Sky Ferreira, and Stars. In Ocean to City EP and Some Sketches, Milas and Chang have created five tracks that mirror their experiences while traveling and touring around the country.
#Indie Coma Cinema‘s music sounds as if it came from a strange and quiet place. The band never references specific geography, but the depressive attitude in their music is one where the city moves at a slow pace, not NYC music here. This is not a 100% -depressive state- record, I think this record sings about missed opportunities, boredom and 0 things to look for. But the strangest thing that I found in this record is that you can have pop tunes here, even with the band not trying hard to accomplish this.
#FrostWirePromotion #Electronic The Code are rather fascinated with enigma. Their album cover is a stark white image of a cassette tape, their website and social media accounts do not reveal much about them, and their name as well, is a term associated with secrecy. Perhaps it is to focus all attention to their work rather than themselves, but there is a charm to this air of anonymity which also lingers in their music, intentionally or not.
#Alternative #Rock #Blues #Indie
Hailing from San Francisco, CA, TheStone Foxes has already made their name in the indie music landscape throug smooth blues mixed fused with a spicy kick of alternative rock. Stone Foxes consists of Shannon Koehler, Elliott Peltzman, Vince Dewald, Ben Andrews, Brian Bakalian, and Spence Koehler.
#Pop #Soul
Toronto-based songstress Kiki Rowe might be a newcomer on the music scene, but that doesn’t mean that Kiki Rowe (Keandra Shan Lal) is not slowing down when it comes to great music. Kiki Rowe has been making waves in the indie landscape, and with the release of her self-titled album, the 19-year-old has formally debuted her journey to the music world.

#Pop #Punk
The music of Final Round from Chicago is a head-on homage to the early pop-punk style brought about by Blink 182 and MxPx. The band’s catchy hooks and playful melody drive their sound while guitarist and frontman Matt Hampson’s bright progressions and sharp leads make the EP qualify as head-banging material.
#HipHop
Jyant‘s Love Overdose is exactly what its title claims it to be. The album’s 40 solid minutes of lovemaking music pack an intensity greater than anyone could have imagined before pressing play.
#Pop #Rock
The three-track EP features pop-rock music in its most elementary form. Jeff relies on the genre’s basic blueprints for most part to create his tunes but takes care to add a few stylistic touches of his own here and there; fans of the simplistic manner of Coldplay or Imagine Dragons would find much appeal in the record.
#Electronic #Pop #Rock
Fresh Body Shop is the brainchild of France-based indie pop-rock musician Pedro Rousseau and with twenty studio albums under his belt and his music being featured on TV shows including Dexter, The Fosters and Gotham, its safe to say he is no amateur.
#Alternative #Rock
Dave Hedrick aka Color Out shares his tales of loneliness, sorrow and frustration against the backdrop of early 2000s rock music. He blends melody with grungy guitar chords and powerful drumming in the style of bands like Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age. However, soft and gentle instrumentation is given as much time in the limelight as the dense distortion; and sometimes they are woven together to contrast and complement each other like in Mercurial (Feat AJ Perdomo) and Anything But Everything.
