Alternative Music of the Week

~ Alejandro Martínez ~ Leave a comment

Have a happy week! Today we want to share with you the best alternative music of the week on FrostClick.com. Take your time to listen to these bands. You’ll love them!

  1. Farahri: No Fear Just Play

farahri-no-fear-just-play-cd-cover-itunes-cd-babyFarahri is an artist that cares about the impact her music has on her fans just as much as she cares about her music making people dance. She describes her debut album No Fear Just Play as “emotionally provocative” and also maintains a public diary on her website to keep her fans updated with her state of mind – being a friend as much as she’s a musician.

  2. Leah Lawson: Sheets

SheeetttsSheets by singer-songwriter Leah Lawson from Nashville pivots around the idea that there can often be much beauty in human frailty. Showing herself at her most vulnerable, Leah makes her music easy to relate to while she attempts to capture the mood we all have after a disappointing day.

  3. Ty Andelman: At Your Age

    ty_andelman_at_your_age
Ty Andelman originally belongs to the group Lyonn as its vocalist. At Your Age, his first solo project, is a collection of tracks that he wrote before the formation of his band that could not be used in any of their records since they differed from the band’s style of music.

  4. Fever Fever: Native Color II

    Fever_Fever_Native_Color_II
Acoustic rock band Fever Fever‘s debut album, Aftermath, was a slick collection of hook-heavy infectiously catchy pop-rock. Their latest release, however, finds the band putting away their electric guitars and basses to give us a set of acoustic renditions of some of the most-adored gems from their discography.

  5. Kirsten Arian: This City Kills

    kirsten_arian_this_city_kills
This week, let Kirsten Arian accompany your travels with feel-good alternative pop tunes in This City Kills. Featuring five tracks, Arian adds new flavors to give your everyday listening experience a kick of spice and freshness.

Since FrostWire 6.3.1 you can select how to show the transfers screen: as an individual tab or together below the search results in split view. On this post, you will learn how to use this new option.

Open FrostWire and you will see an individual tab for transfers.

FrostWire’s improved Magnet URI support (BEP 0009)

~ gubatron ~ Leave a comment

As of FrostWire +6.3.0 for Desktop, and FrostWire +1.7.4 for Android, all FrostWire clients can now interpret the new peer= parameter

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:<info-hash>&dn=<name>&tr=<tracker-url>&peer=<peer-address>

Where <peer-address>…

<peer-address>A peer address expressed as hostname:port, ipv4-literal:port or [ipv6-literal]:port. This parameter can be included to initiate a direct metadata transfer between two clients while reducing the need for external peer sources. It should only be included if the client can discover its public IP address and determine its reachability. Note: Since no URI scheme identifier has been allocated for bittorrent xs= is not used for this purpose.

The immediate result of being able to pass and receive this parameter on magnet addresses is that FrostWire will try to include as many ip:port available it can find so that others can connect to your peer, try sharing files on your local Wi-Fi network now, vs doing the same on older networks.

We don’t know if other BitTorrent clients already support this parameter, therefore we suggest that when sharing Magnets from your computer, you tell the other party to use a new version of FrostWire and you’ll have a greater chance of connecting right away.
