Today we’re officially dropping support for Windows XP.
The number of issues that arise as technology moves forward which are no longer addressed by Microsoft, who already dropped support for Windows XP 5 years ago, along with a very small XP user base (our estimates are less than 5%) are the reasons going forward with this decision.
FrostWire will still be working on Windows XP, but we’re focusing on the other versions of that OS.
For now we’ll be focused on supporting and fixing all issues arising in the following operating systems:
- Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10.
- Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion) or later (64-bit)
- Linux Ubuntu (.deb based distributions) and Red Hat descendants.
- Android +4.0.3.
