On FrostWire for Android (Basic and Plus) there is a really important Privacy Protection feature for VPN users.
FrostWire will detect if your VPN connection drops and if you have this setting activated FrostWire will automatically stop all BitTorrent transfers to protect your privacy.
This is a really important setting if you want to protect your privacy on the Internet as you won’t accidentally be transferring or sharing files using your local IP address.
How to use VPN-Drop Protection?
- Go to Settings
- Turn on VPN-Drop Protection
Remember! In order to use this feature you will need a VPN. You can order a VPN on FrostWire!

How do you use VPN with Linux Desktop version of Frostwire???
1. Start your VPN app.
2. Make sure your VPN is active (you can check your external IP on websites like http://whatsmyipaddress.org/)
3. Start FrostWire, all your connections should automatically go through your VPN routed IP table
